Charlotte Ballisager, Occupational Therapist & Owner
I am a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC). I have been qualified to practice in Canada since June 1998.
As a rural health clinician with 25 years of experience in occupational therapy, my experience includes working in hospitals, residential care homes, and the community.
For the past 17 years, I have worked in private practice assisting individuals with being able to do the activities in life that are important to them. This has included self-care, home management activities, cooking, shopping, banking, budgeting, leisure activities, and returning to productive activity and work.
I have focused my practice on the overlap between physical injury and mental health conditions, which lead me to additional training in the treatment of persistent pain, anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
Above all else, I want people to walk away from our time together with at least one meaningful activity that they are grateful to be able to do again.
When I am not assisting clients, I enjoy hiking or snowshoeing in the beautiful outdoors of Campbell River or attempting to tame my garden.

People living in rural communities lack access to services and available resources.
Solutions that improve recovery and daily function exist! It’s a matter of getting them into the hands of those who need them.
Not every element of injury recovery can be addressed within the walls of a clinic.
You can’t simulate the anxiety of the grocery store. Or see how a particular computer workstation setup increases pain. This means progress in the clinic might not directly correlate to progress in real life.
Return to work or returning to regular life is about more than healing physical injuries.

Owner, Charlotte Ballisager, shares the “why” behind Limitless OT Solutions.
The story of Limitless OT Solutions starts in Denmark — where I grew up. When I was 13 years old, my dad was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). For the next 8 years, my mom and I cared for him at home.
A thoughtful occupational therapist improved daily life for my family.
It was the OT that listened to what was important and meaningful to my dad and our family and helped make that a reality by providing equipment and resources. Ultimately it made it possible for him to stay at home — which was important to us as a family.
The OT’s work with our family focused on quality of life, home improvements, and problem-solving how to continue our valued family outings. This included adapting our car with a specialized seat so we could visit family and friends, go to the amusement park, and travel on vacations.
Each of these relatively “normal” activities brought a sense of dignity, quality of life, and social connectedness to an otherwise difficult situation.
Because of my lived experience, I wanted to make the same sort of difference in the lives of others.
This experience led me to a career in occupational therapy. Through my years working in public & private practice, I continually returned to the values that most helped my family — accessibility, quality of life, inclusion, and wellness.
Even early in my journey as an occupational therapist, I was interested in private practice so I could offer services with my own flair. Ultimately, I wanted to be able to offer thoughtful occupational therapy that makes a difference for the individual person and family.
Eventually, my desire to return to a lifestyle that included nature, beauty, and balance by the ocean, led me away from the city and to beautiful Vancouver Island. I landed up in Campbell River and founded Limitless OT Solutions INC. Once here, I could appreciate the huge need for community-based OT with the ability to travel up the island and serve people in their homes and communities.
